Along with the update comes a new character by the name of Rin. Rin is dangerous, don't mess with her or she'll give you a beating with her ...fan. Jokes aside, as well as the addition of the new character, multiple events are taking place: prizes for players that log in every week for the next four weeks (PS Vita, RagePoints, and an Alienware Laptop), various rewards for helping Rin reach certain levels, a discount on Phoenix Fusion Packages until March 20th, and an "Eclipse" event.
In the Eclipse event, every 10 minutes players will witness an eclipse revealing Dark Acolyte monsters which when killed drop Total Eclipse Chests (which when 100 are collected, can be exchanged for a Goddess' Supply Chest that includes Rin's Shadow Card and a Grade 13 refinery scroll).
Grand Chase is published by SG Interactive, who also publish Trickster Online and PangYa.
